Coming from such a diverse and culturally interesting place as Belfast has lead to an increasing arts, music and creative scene along with supportive venues such as Black Box, Belfast Exposed, QFT and Cathedral Quarter Arts Festival. Belfast is affirming itself as a globally recognised hot spot of creativity.
As a photographer and videographer I mainly use instagram to share most of my work and wanted to help showcase some of my favourite photographers from around Belfast and Northern Ireland in general.
From a range of fashion and portrait to urban and landscapes to me these guys are killing it on instagram so check them out.
In no particular order:
Urban and street photographer going with a moody vibe and creative use of bokeh and angles. Jealous of the edits.
Street and urban explorer offering new and unique views of the city along with traditional urban shots.
Some of the most unique angles from rooftops around Belfast, nice mix of portrait and urban exploration. Braver than I.
Great mix of street and urban shots around Belfast and the surrounding area. Bonus for great use of Instagram Stories on his personal acc @dillonosborne
Portrait photographer with a unique framing and aesthetic using white backgrounds to cut out her photos on your feed.
Portrait photographer with a nice moody toned edit, one to watch.
Nicely mixed profile with some gorgeous skyporn along with landscapes and the occasional portrait.
Killer Belfast landscapes from street based to significant landmarks and coastal shots. One of the first people I followed on Instagram.
These are just some of the awesome photographers and creators Belfast has to offer, keep an eye out for the Belfast hashtags to keep up with other creators. In such a small place it’s great to see so many creative people upping their game online and long may it continue.
