I haven’t been highly active in posting new content but after a few weeks break I’m back and more hungry than ever to create interesting and enjoyable content. Whether that be Instagram photos and starting to utilise the Story feature to Youtube videos and even writing on this very blog. I had made plans to go shoot a vlog today but the Belfast weather wasn’t playing ball so I decided to do a Gear video.
Another week another new Meet The Creators, this week I was lucky enough to ask the questions to Jack Rice, a Belfast based travel and lifestyle Youtuber and Instagrammer. Focusing on quality over quantity Jack pushes his visual message through short films on Youtube and portrait/adventure photos on Instagram through clever editing and post. Continue reading
This is another continuation post from What Motivates Me and it could be a long one. In that post I spoke about the motivations that others influence on me with their own work, ethic and personality. I want to write about them a bit more indepth and why they’re my favourite. Here’s some of my favourite content creators Continue reading
I’ve wrote previously about how to stay creative when motivation trails off but today I want to dig into my process of staying productive on a day to day basis. I work a 9-5 job at the minute and between posting on instagram, writing my blog and editing down vlogs – finding time to spend with family and friends always take precedence and I slack off. Here’s my methods to keep that happy medium Continue reading
I finally bit the vlogging bullet with my first blog at a Visual Waste led Best Of Belfast Street Art Tour. Over the last few months, I have got more and more into photography and posting daily (minus the odd exception) on Instagram and am loving it, posting daily pushes my creativity to his maximum and makes me take more notice to my surroundings. We all move from place to place with end goal in side, slowing down a little a enjoying the journey makes us notice more things around us. Continue reading
Over the last 18months I’ve been contemplating vlogging but due to a 9-5 office job and responsibilities I just haven’t got round to starting, it’s another “WANT TO DO” mixed in with the pile of “NEED TO DO”. I still want to start and am hopefully gearing up to start sooner rather than later, I have maybe 20 practise vlogs sitting on my hard-drive that will never see the light of day. Continue reading
As we all have a blank start line when we begin our foray into videography, photography, drawing or anything creative we always look at the things that inspire us and motivated us to begin creating in the first place. We start making similar content to the ones we aspire to be before we can find our own style. BUT we NEED to find our own style, our own ways of doing things but using our peers to inspire our choices. Continue reading
SOOOOOO………… I’ve been kind of slacking on the blog front from shooting more photos than I used to and the humdrum of daily 9-5 working and throw in a few Christenings, Weddings and other occassions, there is only a finite amount of time during the day. And the blog has suffered.
This will change. Continue reading
Ok so these haven’t really been weekly, my fault for slacking but I promise I’ll strive to get them done weekly from now on. Second part of the series where I try and break down why I chose to take these phoeos and how I edited them to taste. Continue reading
We all have ruts we fall into from time to time being creative, whether it be too much time spent on other activities, busy week at home and you just want to go home and chill or the weather just isn’t the best to go out and shoot stuff. I’m currently in this predicament where I have the want to go out shooting video/photo but the weather is just bad enough that I just go home after work and with family life and a 9-5 job I do struggle to commit time to this hobby that I love. Continue reading
Set in the stunning St Anne’s Cathedral the Power of Video conference returned for it’s second year and with it came a buzz of Youtubers, Filmmakers and Social Media giants.
